To all my female friends:

Recently, I’ve been hearing about my female friends and their trouble with men… And this post is for ANY and ALL girls dealing with any sort of relationship with the opposite sex.

First of all, you were made to function properly, as a human being, 100% the day you were born. You do not NEED anyone else to “complete” you. You are enough on your own. Being a woman automatically empowers you to possess loving, sensitive, and multitasking qualities (proven to be significantly less in males) which make you complete… without the presence of a one-track minded, hidden-agenda-having dude.

Don’t ever let any guy make you feel less of what you are. YOU choose what situations you get into, (yes, you may incidentally fall into the trap or temptation of men) but it’s how you react after the initial crash that matters. Don’t settle. Don’t sell yourself short. Know your worth. Being a hopeless romantic, I always see the best in guys and try to fabricate why they are perfect for me. However, this is clouding all of the issues that they might carry. So please, if you take anything from this point, it’s to not waste any of your amazingness on a guy who can’t/won’t commit, puts himself over you on a pedestal, or makes you second place. Because you are worth way more- and you know it.

Lastly, don’t get depressed over a guy that didn’t fall to your feet upon introduction. Chances are, if he didn’t appreciate the attention and affection that you gave him, he doesn’t deserve any more of your time, emotion or energy.

And in the small chance that this was THE perfect guy for you, but has a girlfriend or tie (or just an immature mindset for the time being) that he’s too comfortable with and too coward to take a risk for fate- Drake tweeted something earlier this week that I stand by completely; “You can do the right thing with the right person…but if its at the wrong time everything gets twisted…somebody say timing.” Timing. Wait it out, everything really does happen for a reason.
